PHYSICIAN-ASSISTED WEIGHT LOSS
Aptiva Health & Wellness combines medical consultation, nutritional guidance, and exercise programs to set the patient up for success. This program includes consistent monitoring of the patient’s body composition and blood work in combination with a nutrition and fitness coach to guide the way. Diet and exercise are proven to be two of the most important factors for longevity. Maintaining a healthy diet and activity level is increasingly difficult as we are constantly exposed to high caloric, heavily processed foods during an overwhelmed daily routine. Our team of nutrition and fitness coaches will motivate you through your journey. HEALTH COACHING
A health and wellness coach can help patients increase their overall health and wellness through a variety of techniques. The coaching process is similar to talk therapy in that it involves two people discussing ideas and issues, but it is different in that the person who is being coached is in the driver’s seat, creating their goals as well as the strategies on how to arrive at these goals.
At Aptiva Health & Wellness, our health coaches work directly with patients to determine the "why" behind their goals and desire to seek treatment. This "why" could be to live a longer and healthier life, to get ready for beach season, or to perform better athletically. Once the reason behind a patient's goal is attained, the health coach can work directly with the patient to ensure they are taking the appropriate steps in their nutrition, exercise routine, and life to capture their "why." We have found that our health coaches can motivate patients through lulls and difficult times with a mission to build patient confidence and independence throughout the process so that short-term goals can transform into lifetime changes.
Body composition testing allows patients to receive a detailed reading that surpasses simple numbers on a scale. With our state-of-the-art InBody570 body composition analyzer. The InBody 570 body composition analyzer goes beyond traditional body composition analysis, measuring fat, muscle, and total body water. Total body water data can be divided into intracellular water and extraceullular water, values important for understanding a patient's fluid distribution in medical, wellness, and fitness contexts. Each InBody Test will print out a full-page results sheet detailing the muscle, fat, and water values of the user.
